Zakhar Prilepin: Our national ideology is genocide.
Russia has always needed poets who would make the current trends in society into meaningful poems or write such poems that would end up in masses make them believe what the current ideology demands to be as normality. The modern equivalent for such person at the moment is Zakhar Prilepin. If for some the person might have been unknown, he became a household name after spending 4 years in Russian army controlled occupied territories of Ukraine DNR and so to say immersed himself into the daily reality of what war against Ukraine might look like. Why he made that move remains irrelevant. What is relevant is the fact he’s now a talking head for the state TV propaganda shows.
He has become some kind of messenger. His messages go past most of people but here’s one he made on 15 of April 2022.And that message interlocks with genocide Russia began on 24th February 2022. In Russia, like in the Soviet Union, war and genocide are interchangeable meanings. Everything that takes place in Ukraine now is carbon copy what happened in Estonia between 1939-1941 and 1944-1960. After 1944 the methods of ethnic cleansing became so severe that such Estonian cities as Jaanilinn, Narva, and Kohtla-Järve had become 100% ethnically cleansed Estonian cities. If the war won’t be properly dealt with now it will come back in coming years. How many years does not matter because it’s just the matter of the question when. By stopping Russia now we will not just stop wars but any genocide planned for the future.
On 15th April 2022 Zakhar Prilepin said:
“… Our national ideology is war*. And the only our mission, our government, is to explain and deliver to the whole Russian people this heroic image of our future …”
* war and genocide are in Russian speak and mindset interchangeable.
Russian hatred toward Ukraine and Ukrainian ethnos is not just Russia’s state TV cooked poison. It has existed over centuries. In 2022 the hatred has been injected into an ideology of eradication of all 45 million Ukrainians. The same extermination into submission will come after everyone when this Russian ethnos carving for genocide won’t be stopped properly.
