Valdo Praust: On October 1, 1931 the Harkov Tractor Factory gave its first production.
The Harkivi Tractor Factory has an extremely important significance both to Ukraine and its occupying since 1921 Soviet Union. The meaning cannot be expressed otherwise than it became an epoch making and on the whole occupied territories the meaning of agricultural machinery. Its completion, at the expense of US aid, is not mentioned in any historical tract of the Soviet Union.

Today, 90 years ago, on 1 October, 1931 gave its first production built to East Ukraine in one and a half years with US founding and with US construction workers Harkov Tractor Factory by leaving the factory first (wheeled) tractor SHTZ 15/30. Its prototype was the International Harvester wheeled tractor McCormick-Deering 15-30. The construction of the Harkov Tractor Factory was one of the Stalin era Soviet industrialisation projects, which was realised in the first quinquennium (1927-32). On the photo – the very first tractor rolled off the factory in Moscow Museum.
The most abhorrent fact in showcase of the tractor SHTZ 15/30 is the display next to the Soviet propaganda poster, where Stalin is depicted as if the initiator of the entire modernization in the Moscow Museum. That is the cultivation of a personality cult and the unacceptable twisting of the actual course of history.
